With a mobile phone plan, mobiles are often free or at a greatly subsidised cost meaning that the latest phones are more economically available. A contract is created that generally extends to a period of two years, however this can in certain circumstances be reduced to a minimum of 1 year. The line rental or contract period usually includes a number of included minutes and/or texts. If you spend more than the included amounts this will be reflected in your monthly bill. The benefit of having a plan means you don't need to constantly 'top up' you phone with additional credit like with pre paid packages.
